This is the fourth step of the rhythm
Day 4 — Shape / Decide
“Direction before commitment”
The information on this page builds on what you discovered in the three previous steps. It's helping you to frame solutions or options for something important to you. Use this in combination with what has been sent to you by email. If you're not getting the emails, go here and sign up.
Why this step exists
Most people confuse decisions with plans.
They are not the same.
A decision is simply choosing a direction of travel.
This step creates momentum without locking you in.
What to consider
- What feels like the lightest honest move?
- Is this something to explore, pause, test, or act on?
- What decision reduces friction rather than increases it?
This is about alignment, not ambition.
What to avoid
- Overplanning
- Needing certainty
- Trying to future-proof the decision
You can always choose again later.
What success feels like
A sense of forward motion without pressure.
You know what not to do as much as what to do.
In General
Today isn’t about planning. It’s about choosing a direction – just one. It shouldn’t take you more than 5 minutes.
A.I. would do this in less than a heartbeat. But you can’t beat human thinking to make sure you get it doing the right thing for you 😉
